Lady Karma
Lady Karma
As you sow so shall you reap'
Is nothing but reiterating Karma's logic
The lady reminds us at every step
Sins are not carried forward to hell
Payback happens in this lifetime
What goes around comes around
Is what "karma" literally means
In "karma" I believe, one of
The tenets of Hinduism
Live life as you wish, but be
Prepared to face the consequences
Act well and wellness will be yours
Act wrongly and wrong will be served
There is no escaping from this truism
Lady Karma has two sisters
Nirvana and Moksha, together
Play a role in the cycle of rebirth
Essentially advocating the need
To live a good life; to be rewarded
With a better status next rebirth
Till the soul escapes the 'karmic' cycle
Sitting on the plateau of life
Feeling blessed with what life
Has offered, I tell myself this
is Karma's work, for "nothing comes
From nothing, nothing ever could
So, somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good"!
Validating what Karma espouses
