Journey Of My Life: The Diverging Roads
Journey Of My Life: The Diverging Roads
Two roads stretched forth in a boundless grey,
Both whispering welcome, calling my way.
I stood at the fork, my heart in debate,
For each path curved into the unknown fate.
I strained my sight, peering ahead,
Seeking the smoother, the wiser tread.
Yet, both were veiled in autumn's hue,
Clothed in gold and misty dew.
Alas! I could not journey both,
Bound by time's relentless oath.
My longing eyes flickered bright,
Yet both appeared in equal light.
But then—ah!—one called anew,
Its grasses fresh, its footprints few.
Untouched by many, worn by none,
A road where fainter steps had gone.
At first, my mind did sway and yearn
For the well-trod path, the known return.
But wisdom's whisper seized my soul—
Dare the less walked, make it whole.
I chose the road in solitude dressed,
And left the other to fate's behest.
Yet deep within, I knew too well—
One path taken, the other fell.
For choices carve the tales we weave,
And shape the dreams we dare believe.
This road, though quiet, will define
The course, the fate, this life of mine.
