In Your Eternity
In Your Eternity

His eyes were warm,
hidden underneath his infinite curls.
He peaked out at the world,
claiming he wasn't afraid.
I believed the words he hasn't said.
I looked at him from the corner of my eyes.
He looked at the world,
as if in constant wonder yet waiting for it's terrible lies.
He was a wonder among men,
soft and fragile.
In place of rugged and sharp.
He was full of acceptance and love
Rather than anger and hatred.
His being was strong, in a way most aren't
He loved fiercely and protected viciously.
He was like the all-encompassing sky.
I wanted to touch, I wanted to reach,
Yet the skies never touched the wingless.
So I continued to weep.
Warm was his breath, warm was his touch.
I couldn't stop the feelings and fully submerged.
I planted the seeds for our love,
he unknowingly watered it, with his kindness and throwaway love.
He loved all, he loved equal.
Who was special?
Who did he fully completely knew?
That never came in view.
Like whiskey and smokes in a dark bar,
I clung to him for the warmth he gave.
Was I special?
What did I crave?
He didn't see, he didn't see me.
He was looking at a different future he craved.
He loved, he loved and he loved some more.
But his love for us all was a throwaway kind.
He didn't see us, he didn't quite truly love.
Cause his love was plastic.
His love was obsolescent.
He never truly loved me
or any of the people blinded by his warmth and light.
He was too blinded by his goal,
He was too afraid of a future,
where his words didn't have infinite amount of his soul.
I loved, I still loved.
Cause even one-sided my love was perfect,
It gave me strength. It gave me joy.
When the worlds were dark,
it brought me light.
So I will cling to it, I will cling to our doomed romance
I will cling because it's my only source of warmth.
I will cling and protect and protect this flame inside.
It's fine if you don't love me.
It's fine if you never would.
Just never leave me,
As I need your burning joy
and light inside.
Someday, maybe I will accept.
Someday maybe you will look back and see
But until then let me live in your eternity.
