"I Forgot"

On Wednesday afternoon,

Before the lunch break,

You stroll into room 5001

Very excited

To write your first poem.

Ms. Aishwarya says:

"Close your eyes

And peer

Into your hearts and minds.

What do you see?"

You think

Of an excellent image

And praise

Your genius mind.

Your right hand

Shoots towards the sky,

While you half-heartedly

Try to listen

To others' responses.

Ms. Aishwarya looks at you,

Suddenly

And asks "what?"

Your mind goes all blank,

You just blurt out

"I forgot!"
