Tragedy

I Belong To The Skies

I Belong To The Skies

I release you today,

Up into the sky,

Just like a balloon,

Which I know would never return back to me.

Do I feel happy?

Yes, I guess.

For, the scars are better than

The fresh wounds you give me each passing day.

And one fine day,

You will get to feel,

All the emptiness,

That you ever gifted me.

And maybe that's when you will realize,

How it feels to chant,

Requiems of love.

Till I plump on those dreary milieus

Whether to comply

Or to redress those uncanny odds

Which tainted my life topsy-turvy

With no hope left to abore

Stranded on a desolate island

Obliterated with no hope to fly the coop

Just to be abhorred by the goons

To rag on my funny bones.

While capsizing my tedious book

Tossing those versos of treachery

Full of red herring

Under the shed of trickery

Just to savvy what's obligatory

In the eld full of miseries.

Maybe at long last

Those drapes fall apart

Those timid eyes are on a par

With an inquest to clarify my fickle mind

To fathom my drunken desires

Is there any life after those broken ties??

To turn up into space

Free from your sight.
