Night Hunch
Night Hunch
When the darkness fills up the sky
And the Moon takes its position, steady and high.
A happy mind I don't know why,
Takes a fall and turns into a bad guy.
The mind becomes his own villain,
Fills himself with thoughts when he was chillin.
Now, chilling was not the bad part,
It was when he messed up and fell apart.
The mind becomes a prisoner of overthinking,
He tries to sleep but he keeps on blinking.
Self degrading thoughts also play a role,
And becomes one of his biggest troll.
The mind wants to break out of these terror camps,
And take a walk on an empty beautiful road light up with lamps.
The mind wants someone by his side,
To keep him company and put these negative thoughts aside.
The mind wants someone to say it's okay,
Forget the past and make a new way.
But, the mind knows that this despair is not everlasting,
Any moment he might stumble upon a moment that's enchanting.
So, the mind is not always in pits,
Sometimes it flies and is full of bliss.
A dose of a gripping story might make him upbeat,
Or the same old nostalgic memories on repeat.
The mind wants to grow up and put this immaturity in the drain,
And accept the fact that life is both pleasure and pain.
