Going Back To School
Going Back To School
A few moments of absolute nostalgia
All emotions gushing in
With the ravages of time
I have doubled in size
My school uniform will never fit me
I took a seat in the waiting room
A group of girls chattering away
I flip the form to write details
I am well past my prime
It took to several years
And my daughter's insistence
To knock at the principal's door
It is no mean feat to blabber constantly
Or turn on my teenage angst
I feel like a rebel already
I miss my little steps on the ground
As I decide on making my mark forever
