*What would I say: Gazal*

My crops burned without rain, to the sun, what would I say?

A grief of black land, to the mountain, what would I say?

They always hated the blossoms that bloom in the desert.

Their blood contains tears, to the garden, what would I say?

Bombing and bombing set my city on fire in their war.

Burning heart's pains, to the shotgun, what should I say?

Workers work hard all the day, but never get enough pay.

I have no salt for dinner, to the ocean what would I say?

I dug into my heart and sowed the seeds of dreams.

A heavy monsoon of tears, to the season what would I say?
