*The Silence You Left Behind*

Here I sit, with tears that won’t dry,

Searching for words to whisper goodbye.

You vanished forever, not a single word,

Leaving me haunted by an echo unheard.

Your shadow lingers, a ghost in my chest,

A bittersweet ache where love once caressed.

I want to scream, to shatter the night,

But my heart, too proud, keeps the silence tight.

Why did you leave? Was my love too small?

I gave you my everything—was it nothing at all?

I believed in a love both strong and true,

But now I’m left in ruins, trying to pull through.

The pen in my hand, heavy and still,

Cannot capture the void you left to fill.

Each word feels shallow, each line falls apart,

Unable to carry the weight of my heart.

If you could see me, if you could just hear,

The cries of a soul broken by fear—

Would you understand the cost of your flight?

Or would you leave me alone to battle the night?

But you're gone, and I'm lost, adrift in despair,

Speaking to ghosts in an empty air.

Love is a wound that time cannot bind,

And I’ll live in the silence you left behind.
