An Affair To Forget
An Affair To Forget
In her graduate school;
She spotted a few burgeoning love;
And some lifelong friendships
Yet she walked amidst them;
Holding her head high and mighty.
Her Prince was there in the crowd;
Still she never cared to rivet;
Her unrivalled attention on him
And he too never noticed;
Presence of such an uptight lady.
Perhaps it wasn't the moment.
It took three decades...
For Three sisters of Fates;
To spin a dubious scheme uniting them.
When they met;
His eyes shone like Pearl
And her heart somersaulted.
It was a concoction;
Of her brazen intellect and beauty
To his fabulous chivalric charm.
Puck did fly to them;
Out of a Shakespearean play
To drop it's Poti
on of dizzying illusion.
Dreaming to re-enact an youthful desire;
Began an unbridled whirlwind romance;
An alchemy was in progress;
Their synergy conjointly anywhere;
Invited whispered talks about something unspoken;
Envied minds termed them as 'pernicious'.
Oblivious to the buzz of the corridors;
They continued to bond blissfully.
Until one day...
He wished that their dream love;
Should forever remain in a surreal state.
Inexorably such ambitious notion;
Has an everlasting unpropitious ill effect .
After all ...
Matters of hearts
Has no redemption whatsoever;
No nostrum to such sort of malaise ;
So it will remain a blurred memory;
An Affair to Forget.
