Emotions Unlocked

Emotions Unlocked

Strangely how a crisis upturns the world;

Fear of virus has imprisoned humans;

Just not to a simple physical confinement

Our minds too clogged with uncertainty.

However, we wear a mask of positivity

Can we dispel the clouds of gloom?

For the sake of a preventative disaster;

The human chain is broken and distancing demanded ;

Days of isolation and quarantine fatigue

Has even affected the self-claimed loners.

Though a virtual world has emerged by itself;

Where people greet without shaking hands;

Sharing mundane daily activities and discussing issues.

Lockdown has forced people to rediscover themselves;

Hidden talents and creative arts demonstrated;

Our imagination has reached new heights;

Though the sickness and death curve rising upwards;

Our strength tested in most turbulent times;

A battle within that we intend to win.

Waiting to break the silence of the lonely streets;

With loud noises to rebuilding our world again;

To restart our lives with a fresh vision and outlook.

When we can walk together with hands clasped;

And then relook into each other’s eyes;

Our emotions unlocked and faith restored.
