Festival Of Colours

Spring conspired with nature

to declare a war of colors

Earth took the cue and everywhere

blossomed fields of flowers

some hanging from latticed bowers

Humans took up piston guns

and aimed at each other

war cries filling the atmosphere

without any element of fear

Thus, was born festival of Holi

celebrating springs new attire

She wears with grace and

presents herself every year

Renewing hope and faith

eclipsing darkness

in minds, souls and hearts

that all is not yet over!
