Don't Say "I Love You"
Don't Say "I Love You"
I am not expecting you to smile at me or chat with me for long
Nor I want you to support me in any of my thoughts or actions,
I am not even expecting sympathy or favoritism from you
But I want you to love me the way you would love all others.
I don’t say for sure that you must love me because I love you
Because, in that case, the love might become conditional,
I don’t even say that I must be the only loveable in your view
In this case the love between us might become personal.
I have not even dreamt of you uttering “I love you” to me
Because, in that, I see a separation between me and you forever
Can you just have that love in your heart for me as anyone else
So that our physical separation may not bring sorrow to each other?
