Don’t Say ‘I Hate You’

Don’t say ‘I hate you’ until you know whom you want to hate

For, the person whom you want to hate might be just an image

Of that person, you would have tried and succeeded to create

And by hating you may not inflict on that person any damage.

Don’t say ‘I hate you’ until you know who is hating within you

For, the entity who wants to hate might be present within

As your own image about which you don’t seem to have any clue,

And hence your hatred may not cause any hurt in that person.

Would you like to hate even after knowing about the two images

And would you still like to enjoy that person getting hurt?

The moment you realized that you are not the one who hates

You would have forgiven that person without any discomfort.
