Different

Music's pounding in my ears

I've put an end to all my fears,

To my dreams, there's no limit,

I never thought I had to fit.

Fitting in wasn't my worry

So I wrote my own story:

 I play the distinctive role,

Cause I am a different soul.

Though I want to stand out,

They say I'm the odd one out.

They say that I don't belong ~

Will I always sing a tuneless song?

Why shouldn't I be me?

Be as different as you can be!

My foundation is my dreams,

I'm unique though it seems

That I am crazy and insane;

The same street's led through a different lane.

The song was sung at a different pitch,

Different solutions to the glitch.

Be different, and be yourself ~

Not just another book on the shelf.
