I love w̶e̶ me
I love w̶e̶ me

Like a dream untold, a story unread,
Love is not known, but still in our hearts,
Diamond like it lasts-
In future like the past.
It shines brighter than the day;
Silence speaks words you can't say.
When I look at him, smiling,
I smile back, - another crack;
The hand he holds not mine,
I try to say.... I'm fine.
But I'm not, I know:
The crack everyday grows.
As I watched myself drift away,
I tried my hardest to find the way.
Is it a fortune or a woe?
Farther the distance, more it grows.
I couldn't see, but I could feel you,
In my heart the pain was so true
.
I tried to write, I tried to sing,
I tried to fly with a broken wing.
Trying to be someone you would like,
I almost changed me and my life.
But now I'm in love with me-
I don't need your love to be happy.
I loved you, yes, but I love me more
And I don't love you anymore.
Years later we met, her hand you'd left
It was like a golden chance,
But I was not in a trance.
Like water washes the shore,
I don't love you anymore.
Thank you is all I can say,
For striving me to be this way.
Now I am a better 'me';
Happiness doesn't need a 'we'.
