Pitch Black
Pitch Black

Disappointment is the worst of the lot-
It's like being stuck in a plot.
All that surround you is the dark,
Disappointment always leaves its mark.
There's silence, there's no sound,
In complete sadness you have drowned.
Somebody has thrown a poisoned dart,
Smack in the middle of my heart.
It felt like the bottom of hell,
I had almost given up, well...
Happiness was ne'er on terms with me,
Disappointment was the one I could see.
All my hope was down and dead,
Once upon a time happiness had said:
'I felt that we will soon be parted,
I knew it
the very day it started.'
Eyes are the source of perennial rivers
Flowing down my cheeks giving me shivers.
There's no anger, there's no rage,
Only loneliness like a silent sage.
Here's my heart and there's my brain;
Both are empty but full of pain.
I wish I had some hope-
All the problems which could cope.
Take off the blindfold, see the light;
Ward off the darkness, end the fight.
Many are stuck in the darkness yet,
As dark as it can, it will get-
But spread your wings, ready to fly,
'Cause when you're out, you'll rule the sky!
