Destructive Passion

Do not let your passions carry you away,

And cause you to burn for everything that sways.

You will be like a dead tree without any fruit or leaves,

So try and resist the daughters of Eve.

They will draw you, tempt you, and trap you, my friend,

Tell you your way is right, and watch your end.

Your life without family to nurse you to health,

When you reach destruction and lose your wealth.

All because sexual passion stayed uncontrolled,

Turned your hair grey and body old.

Where are those daughters of Eve you once enjoyed?

Gone in search of another batch of foolish aged boys.

It is dark in here, no one can see,

Thinks the silly old fellow as inside he creeps.

But a pair of sharp eyes, brighter than the sun,

Notes his ardent infidelity and marks 61.

His lifespan is shortened; his breath comes to an end,

His wife and children have no money to spend.

His doctors and treatments brought them significant loss,

Much more than the man who had been their cross.
