Sweet Valentine

Sweet Valentine

1 min
43

I want to celebrate having you in my life,

Twenty-two years of happiness and bliss,

What can I ask God this Valentine’s Day?

Another hundred years sealed with your kiss.

You came into my world like light through the door,

Chasing away every shadow that was there,

You never once questioned who I had been,

You loved me completely, beyond compare.

What more can a woman ask for than forever?

A man who stands firm when others let her down,

Surely, dear God, You knew what I needed,

You sent me my king without a crown.

My Valentine, I want no treasure from you

For the greatest gift will always be you,

But if your sweet heart longs to offer something,

I’ll cherish it gladly, because it’s from you.

I’ll add it to our treasures—love and God

Laughter and peace on the path we have trod,

And I will guard what heaven gave me,

For loving you is my daily applaud.

From your Valentine Forever, Cécile Rischmann
