India is not in chains to be set free.

India has some folks refusing to climb Prosperity’s Tree.

It is not a sin if we do not want to compete,

But it becomes a sin if we are scared of defeat.

Who is the winner in the end?

The man who tries, whose life is spent,

Wanting, Wishing, Desiring and Working,

Yes, as long as he is not sitting and hoping.

"Free India", they say, but are we in chains?

Yes, our minds, hearts, and souls if we cause our neighbours pain.

Our religion preaches Peace and Goodwill.

Our inner being instructs, “Invade and Kill”.

Are we so independent that we can function alone?

It depends on what we call “independence”, I reckon.

If “Independence” means living in our narrow mindset,

I will rather be in chains and save myself.

"Free India", they say, but let’s free our hearts,

And refuse to take the destructive path.

If we convince ourselves to compete, not destroy

We may discover hidden talents that bring us joy.
