Jai Bharat!
Jai Bharat!
Jai Bharat!!
Rejoicing in vibrant tricolour ambience,
The shouts of the soldiers reverberating through
My heart leaped, and skipped a beat
For it was heavy with emotions...
Brimming eyes and trembling legs kept me on edge ...
For I was going to see him now...
Smart and disciplined...
Young and brave...
The creamy youth of our nation passed by, one after other....
The parade saluted the dignitaries...
Unsure of what I might do ...
I kept waiting....
A big applause started ....they were here, now..
Adjusting my saree for the umpteenth time
To befit the grandeur of my nation, ...
I slowly watched...
There he was ........
So handsome in his newly acquired
uniform
And Best Cadet award on his chip...
He smiled ...decorum maintained...
Clapping my hands, crying and smiling with tears of joy, I stood up to greet him...
My Virat...or it's just the reflection...
No...it's Maanav....my Virat's son....
I hugged him, only to be reminded again..
Virat had gone... sacrifice for the nation in Kargil....
And now Maanav, duly prepared to serve my country ...
Fourth generation of his family....
"Maa...", he said as he touched my feet
"Papa is back😊"
The heroes of nation and pride they endorse
The love for the nation should never befall
Vande Mataram!!!!! echoed long after I sat with him on my lap at my home ...
It felt empty no more.
