The Guy I Met Yesterday
The Guy I Met Yesterday
Yesterday, I met a guy who was surprisingly very shy.
Extremely superficially, he just responded to my 'Hi'.
There was depth in the eyes of this guy, who was an introvert,
This tempted me to know him more, and also flirt.
Thanks to the college group,
Exchanging numbers was so easy.
I stalked a little, talked a little,
Limiting the conversations to just official.
We met daily in the college premises,
Soon, we learnt about each other's virtues and vices.
To be organized was always his attempt,
Tough time he had in dealing with this girl who was so unkempt.
Strangers soon turned into the best of friends,
We built a connection, we knew would never end.
My emotions were naked in front of him,
He fought with all my problems, as if we were a team.
To be his human diary was my wish,
And to make me smile was always his goal.
Together we spent a wonderful time we still cherish,
With him, was my mind, heart and soul.
However, "happy forever" is indeed a myth,
We had our own share of issues to deal with.
In our journey of ups and the horrible downs,
We fought, cried, and parted our ways with frowns.
In his absence, life was nothing but hell,
All I wanted was to either breakdown or rebel.
Nights turned into days, but the sun did not shine,
Away from him, nothing was just fine.
Yesterday, I met a guy, who surprisingly wasn't very shy,
Extremely superficially, I just responded to his 'Hi'.
There was depth in the eyes of this girl, who was an extrovert,
But it did not tempt him to talk more or flirt.
Silently we walked up the hill till we reached the peak,
Finally we broke the ice and decided to speak.
We fought, we cried, and walked our way down,
Things changed, once we reached the town.
Situations had changed, and so did we,
But the bond was the same, we both agree.
What happened was partly my mistake and partly our fate,
But there is no denial to the fact that he is my soul-mate.
I regretted a little, repented a little,
We worked hard to mend the relation which was so brittle.
All our miseries gradually came to an end,
Soon, I got back my dearest best friend.
He teases me, he troubles me,
But makes sure that I smile daily.
He motivates me on topics
Ranging from studies to how to reduce the belly.
Matured, calm, caring, understanding,
Words are too less to describe this wonderful human.
Humble and down to earth is how I address him,
A pure soul he really is!
Blessed I am to have his company,
Lucky I am to have him in my destiny.
Heart of gold and man of steel,
A treasure in my closet, is how precious he is.
Yesterday, I met a guy, who surprisingly was very shy,
Today he is a guy, only for the world who is shy.
Yesterday, I met a guy, who superficially just responded to my "Hi",
Today he is a guy, whom I never want to say good bye!
