Are We Judged?
Are We Judged?
Are we judged? Are we being judged:
Who are the judges? What are we being judged in, on and for?
Is it all in our heads? An extrapolation of guilty feelings?
Is there no independent arbiter? How will or can we know?
We can’t [know]. That would be knowledge that is not available to us
Is the suspicion of being judged a problem? Unsettling! Yes, I agree
Unsettling to the point of paranoia? That’s a totally different kettle of fish
Fish? What have they got to do with the subject? That woman’s eyes
Looked kind of “fishy”, and that man held my gaze a second too long
Don’t mock me. A second can last forever. No! No! No! I’m not paranoid
Just because I think things are happening doesn’t mean they're not
I never liked that Trump guy either, can’t understand why more than one
American voted for him, let alone 75 million. Now, tell me I’m wonky
Distraught, lead astray. It was a person with a gun, usually is. Wait
Where am I? New Zealand: a missing semi-colon at the bottom of the world
Semi-colons are useful, I remember proclaiming whilst in a drunken state
You?!? Yes [embarrassed] Where am I? Where was I? A person with a gun
[didn’t I write an impassioned article about that?] Yes. I did. 50 dead in Christchurch
It happened. A lone killer with guns, at two sites. The death of national innocence
Don’t worry here it happens all the time. Gums and babies are our religion
The question is, are we being judged? It needs tweaking, rearranging, and re-stated
Why are we NOT being judged? I’m busy judging others. They don’t fit the mould
Look out of shape. No doubt, they feel the same about me. Are we judged?
We judge others. Karma. That which comes around goes around
A trifle personal, don’t you think?
In the temple of poetry
The tower of song
We tell the truth
Can’t go wrong
Can we?
