Another Brown Body
Another Brown Body
You're naked, I'm naked,
Can't you see?
We don't have a stitch on,
Just skin and bones,
Some fatty tissues;
Sagging arms and boobs
And stomach,
All left open, free.
We are animals in a circus,
Exhibits you see.
They clap, they whistle,
They jeer, they taunt,
We're soulless refugees.
She ran,
They ran after her,
Kicking her to the ground,
They clapped, they surrounded her;
Taunting and jeering
She was naked all around.
Humanity was dancing
Her last dying dance;
Yet they kept on kicking and kicking her,
Seeing that scene macabre
I felt unsound.
A Goddess is worshiped
In a temple;
But who was she?
So naked, so naked,
Just another brown body?
