She too can speak
She too can speak
Through the glimpse of her tears,
Those eyelashes shudder with fear,
Her safety embarks a question
So difficult it is to answer for every Indian!
Running with the attire of westernization
But stills our girls are considered as a burden
May she be a small infant unaware
of thy worlds brutality,
Or may be she is a teenager
still browsing her feet in the swamp of inequality.
May be she is someone's daughter with
Hundreds of restriction
Or may she be a wife ,
her husband's sweetest Possession.
A fire may she be like goddess Durga
Winds of destruction like goddess Kali
Her flight be like goddess Saraswati
The sparkle in her eyes like godess Lakshmi.
May she be anyone anonymous
Your rights as a man so sure
Don't permit to touch her soul,
Because oh you predators of her conscious!
As she decors her womb
So blissfully she can architect a tomb.
Her soul bubbles with agony
Her strings of self respect cut with tyranny
Words fail to usher her dignity
What speaks is her scars, smiling the story of her valour,
All through the gates of Thy Almighty.
