JOURNEY OF THE STRONGEST

JOURNEY OF THE STRONGEST

She was a happy girl

With fairy-like features.

Graceful in everything she did

until he came into her life.

She fell in love.

Trusted him with everything she could,

That's where she went wrong.

He changed her world upside down,

That's when she knew how she was abused and pulled down.

He pulled her hair,

Slapped her hard.

Kicked her down to the floor,

The scars he caused.

Tears rolled down as she cried,

The red bruises on her body were quite bright.

The painful nights she went through,

Hiding her scars from the world.

Makeup and pillow her only companion

to strengthen her up.

She loved him so much,

To realise that he loves her not.

She thought,

she made him mad

That is why she is treated so bad.

Her heart won't let him alone,

And, it hurts her to even try,

She wondered if this is how it will continue to be,

Until she dies?

He took away her innocence,

Her hopes and all her dreams.

Caging her in his arms, he held,

Whispering in her ears, he said,

"You're Mine."

He was a psychopath,

She knew.

But scared to even run away

or even cry in front of anybody.

As the world went dull and dark,

She felt throttled and insane.

As in the bed

She lied like a lifeless toy.

While tears were rolling down her eyes,

Thinking about the games

he's been playing with her all life.

One day, she decided not to

stay silent anymore.

And, She stood up for herself.

She might have died,

Yet, she survived.

As, she was God's child.

He no longer had the power

nor the control over her,

When domestic abuse lost the game

As Justice was served !

She won the battle of fear

and fought for her rights.

A new dawn of hope and grace surrounded her.

As she walks by faith

holding her head high.
