DEAR SOCIETY
DEAR SOCIETY
Wake up.
Gender lies in your brain,
Not down there.
Teach your mind to behave,
Train yourself to accept.
Accept what is right,
What is true.
Gender doesn't always
Depend on male and female.
Gender is about human and humanity,
A spectrum of identity,
A mosaic of being.
Why can't people,
Young boys and girls,
Open up about their own sexuality?
Why must they prefer
Silence and suffering,
To speak their truth?
In a world of diversity,
Why does conformity
Still bind our minds?
Why do we judge
What we do not understand,
Instead of embracing
The richness of humanity?
Dear society,
Wake up.
Teach acceptance,
Preach understanding.
For every heart that beats,
Deserves to love and be loved,
To live authentically,
Without fear or shame.
Let us break the chains,
Of prejudice and ignorance.
Let us build a world,
Where gender is fluid,
Where humanity reigns,
And every soul finds
Its rightful place.
