A WOVEN DREAM
A WOVEN DREAM
A WOVEN DREAM
Where painted rivers bloom in Kalamkari,
and Muga catches dawn,
Kosa keeps the forest’s hush where golden threads are drawn.
Patola twists the sunset,
Bandhani scatters stars,
Phulkari wakes the sleeping fields beneath the northern stars.
Pashmina carries winter Kullu shelters snow,
Chanderi floats like moonlight where quiet waters flow.
Paithani lets peacocks wander through a kingdom made of gold,
Eri whispers rain,
while ancient Puan keeps stories old.
Sambalpuri dreams in colours,
Kota Doria breathes the air,
Kanchipuram rings like temple bells,
while Pochampally dances there.
Banarasi gathers constellations Jamdani blooms like rain,
Tant drifts like a white river,
Baluchari speaks again.
And Tussar, warm as earth, lets forgotten forests start
Warp, weft, song and silence: India woven heart to heart.
