A Stoic's Melancholy
A Stoic's Melancholy
Good or bad, pain or pleasure
To flee from one attach to another
Our wild chase in a maze, 'life'
A hope to withhold all evil even death
If permitted, by fate, logos or divine
An open choice, rationale dominantur
Who are we to inquire means so plain?
Order of this vast grand design, pervades boundless and beyond
Sprang out of primordial chaos setting things in place
Clouded is the mind's eye, binding walls of a pit - a vessel profound
Witness the whole as you must, a realisation, a lightning
Nature's might is ever far beyond any compromise
Attempt to swim against currents, a branded folly
Yet a daring adventure to even try and fail
Grandest of all, our search for good, peace and love
Knowing how matters will unveil at the very end
Coin owns two sides, even thine own palm does
Duality rings all around the living cosmos, acceptance is bliss
