A Bright Glow In The Sky
A Bright Glow In The Sky
This isn't a lonely night,
As the stars shine bright;
My mind in a lazy drift,
Ponders for a while.
The stars as the tales say,
We' ll become one day!
Like a star that twinkles;
Or that dwindles far away?
Life, after all, is not too long,
To spend away like a moron,
As the flock of sheep trots,
A man need not carry on.
Life is an engaging book,
Savor its every nook,
It can be read by a blind,
By not the blind who whine.
I reminisce all the nooks now,
I had read with a frowned brow,
It may not still be too late;
To pave a greater fate.
For he who turned his back,
Knocked me with a smack;
Yet, opened my doors anew,
For realizations new.
For he who looked me down,
Said, I don't deserve the crown,
Helped me conquer my vices,
And welcome new surprises!
For he who left my heart to bleed,
Throwing me on my knees;
Beckoned me to grow in resilience,
Hold my esteem in significance.
For he who played his sly deed,
Smiled in triumph and greed,
Preached me to be wise -
Yet not to beguile.
For all who did me wrong,
Helped me grow strong,
Each time I healed,
I rose to flourish.
Why do I need resentment?
Be swathed in embitterment?
It's for them I know,
One day I 'd glow;
As a star, I'd light,
The earth at night.
