Why Are We Friends?
Why Are We Friends?
Knowledge is often silent,
Reflected in propitious time,
Humility is deeply anchored,
In respect for the mankind.
Calmness abates all anxiety,
With a becoming smile;
Words of genuine appreciation,
Rejuvenates every life.
Bravery is not flaunted,
In rebuking words of vile.
Gentle words of kindness,
Is a gallant's true style.
Enlightened are not those,
Who belittle others as trivial;
Those who honour individuals,
Illuminate alike all lives.
The personification of these virtues,
All being embodied by you;
I feel blessed to be your friend,
And for the same glum too.
If not born in the same era,
It could so happen too;
You'd be my teacher
To guide me through..
I stride each of my moments,
To imbibe what I admire,
Perhaps in the pursuit one day,
I'd be freed from the quagmire.
