Please Leave Them Alone
Please Leave Them Alone
Post cool breakfast on Moon
A spicy heavy dinner on Mars
I decide to land on Earth
For a leisurely walk
And what do I hear?
Invader! SOS! Invader!
Friends! Family! Folks!
Look! who is the stranger
Our land stands in danger
Cocooned perhaps in their comfort zone
Their costumes native their ambience pristine
Menfolk advancing with torches and spears
Amuse and engage me in equal measure
Are they left behind in race of progress?
Or they wish to preserve old age charm
Are they naive in their ignorance?
Or wish to be immune from new world's harm
I wish to bring them in the fold
Of racy new world of technology
I wish to share stories of advancement
Conquests of man over nature and ecology
I desist
They are perhaps vital ambassadors
Of man and nature living in harmony
They are tribes though dwindling and few
Whose lives have remained unaffected
From twenty first century's untold agony
The agony of using tech sans restrictions
The blunder of invading cosmos
Unmindful of catastrophic predictions
