Once upon a time one pet he-cat found a cake inside the kitchen of the master. At once holding it in it's mouth ran upto the terrace. Another neighboring he-cat was there. The second one demanded the cake. Then the first one refused as a result of which fierce fighting started between two cats. Both the rivals became reddish with blood shed.

This drama was oberved by a macaque sitting on the branch of a bale tree nearby the house. That male monkey was also hungry and wanted some food. Macaque monkey is most cunning and intelligent among monkey species. So leaped on to the terrace and told the cats, "How are you dear mews " tauntily, " It is very bad habit to quarrel with each other because you belong to the same family. Please listen to my suggestion. " After hearing this from monkey the cats stopped quarreling.

The cats told, " What suggestion? We must agree. Please advise us what to do. " Monkey adivised, " Please bring a scales I will divide your cake into two equal parts and give you" Cats were unable to do the same as they were handless. So they requested monkey to bring a scale. Then monkey jumped down to a grocery shop below and snatched away one from the shop keeper and returned. Then the clever monkey asked for the cake which was intact. The cats handed over the cake to monkey instantly.

After that the monkey tore off the cake into two pieces and kept on the both pans one by one. The monkey started scaling and heavier portion of the cake was being eaten by him happily. Likewise the monkey ate up the entire cake and jumped off the roof heading towards the bale tree. The monkey climbed up to the tree top and sat. The macaque monkey taunted at the cats, " Oh oh! quarreling guys did you eat your cake? It is the result of your quarrelling. Mind this lesson that I teach you today -, Never quarrel or be jealous. Eat yourself what you get. Never try to take from others what they have. There is a maxim : Quarreling between two parties always benefits the third party : Then both the he-cats repented for their shortcomings and departed to their respective houses.
