What Is Immortal?

What is immortal? 

The flowers, the trees, the stones? No! - everything gets rotted away by the years. Even the sands of the deserts fade under the relentless onslaught of the sun. But the stars, I feel they are immortal, they seem to persist through everything.

To my opinion, Your good deeds can be immortal. Your love and perseverance as well. They will shine through the ages. Through the dust of long-dead empires, or the sparkling lights of the distant future. They will definitely endure.

Your wickedness can be immortal. The atrocities committed by humanity will long outlast their perpetrators.

Your values and your dreams will also continue, even after death. After a time, the difference between the two is that much less apparent. The things you stand for will become things everyone stands for.

There is one thing that is truly immortal - the gift of life. The power to create new generations.
