Unplanned

Love is a four lettered word, a pure feeling, or say a phenomenon which noone can predict when it'll enter into one's life. It is unexpected, rather say accidental- an accident which can make one's life hell (then it can't be love) or can make one's life as beautiful as paradise.

Moreover, love is not about being successful but it's about the purity of bond that develops between two souls. But all these things about love seemed so boring to Abinash.

Abinash, a 20 year old guy, whose aim was almost every time determined by others and happily accepted by him and he never knew anything well except playing video games.

He saw his friends with their girlfriends but it never really mattered him. He believes if you love someone strongly, your story will never remain incomplete. But as he hadn't found his soulmate yet, he was in this matter, almost underestimated by everyone.

And he never regretted about one, because his mind was always occupied by games, games and games.

But who knew that his heart will one day beat for someone, someone who would become a special one in his life. This change stepped into his life when he stepped into his graduation phase of life.

He was standing in the corridor of his college in front of his class waiting for the previous class to get over, along with his friends as usual. While waiting he saw a bunch of girls coming there to an another class.

"Hey!", Shivani, Priyanka and Subhra went to those girls and talked with them. The three girls were Abinash's friends.

From those whole lot of girls, only one girl caught his attention.

She had a cleanly tied ponytail with specs in her eyes and innocence was like an attire of her face. But he didn't felt anything special about her, so he thought better to ignore her.

After some days he started well to gel up with the other girls and boys of his stream as well as with the other ones. To his surprise when he came near that girl who had first caught his attention, his heart started beating faster for the first time in his life.

He was confused, why is it happening? He didn't thought much about it until he felt the same way he had felt before for the second time in chemistry laboratory while doing titration. Without giving any second thought, he tried knowing her.

First, he wanted to know his name without talking to her. So, when one day, everyone was gossiping together in front of the class, he bent down so as to fix his shoes and saw her name in her ID card hanging on her neck.

Then he started searching her in the global village-Facebook and luckily he found her and sent her a friend request. After two days, to his fortune, that girl accepted his friend request. He was so happy!

More than half of her personal information were now in his hands. Now the only confusion for him was to express his feelings. How would he? It would be so awkward for both of them if he suddenly did that. So, after a lot of thinking he planned so as to make the girl, named Shruti, know that a guy named Abinash exists.

For this to happen, he told Shivani everything.

She was surprised.

"What? You love that girl.. I mean you are in love. Are you serious?"

"Why, am I not a human being or I appear to be a monkey to you, can't I love anyone?"

"No Dumbo, I'm so happy for you, finally you're in LOVE with someone!"

"OK ok, listen, help me out"

"But how?"

"Talk to her and be close to her, try to become a good friend of her and talk about me as much as you can, okk?"

"Okk sir"

Everything went perfect as he had thought. He had never been so excited ever in his life. This was a new feeling to experience and a new challenge that he has accepted to achieve.

Through Shivani he got Shruti's number with her permission. And then from WhatsApp chats to frequent phone calls, they started interacting with each other.

This interaction had gave a new hope to him to make sure that the right time to express his feelings to her, is on the way.

But more than his surety, many obstacles came as logical opinions to discourage him. But he pushed all of them aside and decided he would tell her no matter what.

After all, instincts are something for him.

He checked rashifal and very meticulously planned so as to what he has to tell her over the phone. And finally the day came when he decided to tell her about his feelings hidden in his heart, 7th October 2019.

He called her, with trembling hands and forehead sweating heavily. She picked up the call,

"Hello"

"Hii"

"Ya, what happened"

"Nothing, I just wanted to tell you something but I can't understand how to tell you.. So.."

"You tell na"

"I'll call you after 10 mins and tell you, okk?"

"Okk"

Shruti on the other hand was anxious. He never talked like this before, what would he tell me? This thought swirled around her mind. After waiting for 15 long mins, the phone didn't rang .

" He should have called by now, why hasn't he?" After another 15 mins, her phone rang and she picked up quickly.

"Ya, tell Avi"

"Actually, the thing is I love you." 

"What, are you mad?"

Shruti has never faced this type of situation. She felt a bit awkward yet her cheeks flushed with a mixed hue of pale blue and rosy red. And he continued with his confession,

"No, I'm not. Actually I have much more things to say. My heart has never beaten so faster for anyone else. I feel something special for you. I don't know why, but at the first sight I got inclined towards you. You're the first person I have ever felt so strongly about. Isn't that enough to prove that I'm not insane? "

" Do you really mean these things or is it just to impress me with some cheesy lines. Sorry to doubt you but I've seen my friends cope with heart breaks even if they had a beautiful relationship before. And most importantly, do these words of yours have any reality in it? Will you be with me my whole life or just like any other boy you will leave my hands midway? "

" Is it necessary that I'm like any other boy? Is it necessary to experience the common things that are happening around us. Maybe we'll build a beautiful future of ours, who knows? "

" But what about our parents? I've never lied them. "

" Am I telling you all these taking permission from my father? Every thing has a right time to appear before others."

She remained silent yet her lips curved upwards to form a smile. 'He's damn funny!' she thought and replied,

" Okk, I'll think about it and let you know tomorrow "

" When?"

"Tomorrow at 4 o'clock in evening."

"Okk" And then both hung up. 

Shruti hung up and got lost in thoughts. She has rarely known him. She has seen him with Shivani and as she have heard from her, he seemed a nice guy. But what if he has masked himself and was a pretentious good guy? So many questions whirled around her mind and she didn't knew what to do. And she kept thinking till next morning.

For him, the next day seemed so longer, he played games, watched TV but the time was not going. It seemed that the time had thought to take rest for a while.

The restlessness, the excitement, the mixed feeling of rejection and acceptance, all was new for him.

Finally, at 4:02 pm, his phone rang.

"Hey sorry, to call you late, but I have some guests in my house, so shall I tell you tomorrow?"

"Okk... But today is Dussehra, everyone expects some good news on this auspicious occasion, it would not take so long to answer me, I think.."

"Yes"

"What?"

"I said my answer is yes."

"Okk... Talk to me later, for now look over your guests. Bye"

He was so happy that he jumped all over inside his mind. He never thought that what he had thought would be real one day. She, on the other hand, was happy and confused at the same time.

'Why did I say yes?' , she thought. But somewhere in her heart, she has begun to trust him. She didn't know how, but she knew that this is going to change my life in a good way.

He got his soulmate and she finally got a person whom he can trust with all her might.

And both experienced the joy of that unplanned yet planned love.
