Aisha was a celebrated actress. It was her first interview. "Mam, please narrate your life story!" requested a journalist. Aisha shrugged, she smiled and began.....

“I was born in a poor family on the outskirts of a village. I had aspired to play roles in movies since I was young. We couldn’t Offord to travel to a city for my auditions. On one such occasion, an assistant director visited our village. He said that he was looking for an aspiring young girl for a role in a movie. I still remember, getting ready for the audition. I was very tensed but, I gave my best in the audition. Finally, the dream come true moment, I was selected for the role. I was informed that we would be moving into a city. The travel expenses were taken care of by the producer. Once I reached there, I was kind of shocked to learn, many girls from different places were selected for the role. It was time for the second round of audition. After a few performances, I was asked to perform. Once all the auditions were done, I was selected along with another girl. I couldn’t predict why exactly they selected her because she couldn’t even say her dialogue properly, besides, many talented artists were rejected. The next round of audition did not take place. They asked me to come the next day. So, the next day when I went there, they asked me to be seated. Sometime later the other girl who got selected arrived. She was the daughter of a celebrity. Although she couldn’t act well, the influence of the celebrity paved the way, and so she was asked to practice the scene. I walked up to the director and asked for my lines to which he asked me to wait. This continued for many days. The girl would be practicing her lines and I would be waiting. I called my dad and narrated everything

He asked me to do as he says “go to the director, say ‘I quit and come back home.” I wasn’t happy about what he said, but still, I followed his orders. I was very sad about not being able to act in the movie, so, I returned home. Almost three months later, I got a call from the movie director. He apologized for his actions and requested me to play the lead role. The girl was proven incapable of the role. I forgave him and accepted the offer. The movie was a huge success and I won many awards and finally, now I stand in front of you.”

Another reporter questioned, “What have you learned from your journey so far?”

“I learned that quitting is not always cowardice, it can also be an act of intelligence. There is no use in holding on to places where your talent is not respected. True talent will surely be respected, it just requires some patience and a lot of hard work. Thank you”

The interview soon became viral. Aisha started gaining more support and wishes from people worldwide
