The Stranger (Part-13)..

Meera had dinner with her mother and sister. They didn't talk about what happened today, but something about their family mattered. Sara was saying, " When you both were small children, Meera six years and Rima three years, we all had gone on a holiday trip to Ooty. Your Dad always used to hide his activities and job. Even during that time, he was doing his duty, which was not known to me. I was enjoying with both of you and having the pleasure of nature's fresh air and beauty. But your father was sometimes busy with his phone and unmindful. As if he was in a different place. At that time I thought that all those are due to the impact of his nature of the job and did not take that seriously. As we were returning from the market and reached our resort, while getting down from the taxi, suddenly I heard the sound of gunfire. I was trying to cover both of you. Your Dad was covering all of us. At that moment some people came and escorted us to the resort. I couldn't understand at that moment what had happened. Then as asked by your Dad I packed our bags and within one hour we all checked out from the resort. We all were taken to a guest house with all securities. I remember that night was my sleepless night and can't forget that. Your Dad was busy giving some instructions over the phone. You both were too very much in panic and holding me very tight. The next day morning your Dad took us to the airport and we all flew back from there. We all had gone there to enjoy our holidays, but it had never happened. I had never asked your Dad about this as  I was aware of the nature of the job a little bit. Your Dad had created a number of enemies due to his honest and strict behaviour. I am not at all afraid of my life, but I can't bear the pain if anything will go wrong with any of you. " Meera and Rima could see the tears in their mother's eyes while speaking. Both of them went to her and hugged her. They said together very affectionately, "Nothing will go wrong with us Mom. Don't be worried. We both will always be with you. We love you." Then Sara touched the head of both of them and kissed them with a smile.

Then all of them washed their hands and went to have slept in their respective rooms. As Meera was trying to sleep was unable to do so. Again and again, the incident was forcing her to think about the kidnapper. She started thinking about who can leak the news of her link with CBI? Bikash and Asit are been deputed by CBI, they can't do this. Ashok is the person initiating this App, so he can't do so. What about Ajit? Meera recalled while after the presentation Ajit had left the hall leaving her and Ashok alone for attending some calls, who those persons could be Ajit spoke? She sat with her computer and through their company's special confidential software tried to track the persons involved in the discussion during that period. This software was developed by Meera and her team long time back and she knew how to hack the password to know the details. It took her around an hours time. She was shocked to know that during that period Ajit had not spoken to any of her company personnel. Even after that too he had not made any communication with anyone. This had forced her to have doubt on Ajit. She closed her computer and deleted all the proofs of her trackings. Then she thought for a moment and decided to call Ashok. It was around 10 O'clock. She made the call. As soon as Ashok took her call, she said, "Sorry to disturb you. But I felt it's very important to share my thought with you, that's why I made the call. Please don't mind about the things I will tell you now and let me finish first. Then you can answer me. Have you ever checked Ajit's background? Can you take Ajit in confidence? Why I am asking these are having been verified by me now and I have every reason to doubt Ajit. Do you remember today after the presentation Ajit left us alone and went to attend some calls as told by him? But through our company's special App designed by me, I tracked during that time with whom Ajit was doing conversation. I found that he had not made with anybody. Then why did he lie to us? Now Ajit knew that I will be associated with your organisation through this software along with you and me. It's possible that he might be trying to make this software a failure and informed my stranger of probable kidnappers. And just imagine the time of the attack on me. So, I suggest you inform Ajit that your organization is not going to take any help of mine. Also, tell him that this software will be not required at present by you. Let me go to the office tomorrow and get this software copied in my pen drive and made it inactive with a virus. Then I will ask Ajit to grant me leave on my health ground and today's happening. Then I will do the development of the software with necessary modifications from my home. And in the meantime, you can have your secret investigation of Ajit. Now you can suggest me. " Ashok listened to Meera very carefully and said, "Thank God. I made a call to Ajit after talking to you in the evening, but he didn't answer. Now whatever you had told me, all are very valid points to have doubts on Ajit. I forgot about that time when Ajit left us saying to attend some calls. I will do as suggested by you Meera and will come to your house tomorrow evening to have a look at the tracking of communications in your company's special App during that period. That will be proof to start an investigation on Ajit. I hope you can be able to help me in this regard." Meera replied, " Yes, I can show you and will try to give the printout of that to you. But it should be confidential. " Then both of them wished good night to each other and disconnected the call. Meera got relief from her tension and relaxed. Then she had a good sleep away from the thought of the strangers.
