THE SECRET MISSION

Near to Bhavani of Erode district, a few children falls down unconscious in a street and they are taken to a local hospital by the local people.

The children's parents panicked at the situation. Upon checking them, doctors realized that they are dead already.

"Doctor. What happened? How is my child? Is she okay?" A mother asked him.

"Sorry madam. They are dead." The doctor said.

They all cries and in the post mortem report, the doctor is shocked to find out that, "These children have been addicts to Cocaine. However, he is additionally shocked to know that this drug is carrying a dangerous virus, which causes indirect reaction throughout the body and the child would die for over consumption."

To avoid complications in further, the Chief Minister asks the police department of JCP Rathnavel to start a parallel investigation regarding this drug mafia.

He agrees and holds a meeting with his assistants SP Gokul and DCP Vishnu IPS, with few other senior officers.

"Gentleman. Recently a death have occurred. Those children are told to consume drugs. To avoid further complications, government have asked us to handle this case. What's your suggestion?" asked Rathnavel.

"Sir. For controlling several jobs in Erode itself, we have lots of time wasted. Now should we investigate this case? Let us close this as a drug mafia from Mumbai and proceed." SP Gokul said.

"Gokul sir. If we leave like such carelessly, then death would continue to go on. Even your child's life would get spoiled. Sir. I have a good suggestion for this." DCP Vishnu said.

"What's the sugesstion, Vishnu?" asked Rathnavel.

"What not if we bring ACP Gautham for this case?" asked Vishnu.

"What are you saying Vishnu? Are you senseless? He have got an voluntary transfer to Cyber Crime Branch!" said SP Gokul.

"Sir. Please mind your words. That matters a lot. At present, we don't have any bold or daring officers to investigate this case. Only he could be able to handle the situation. Then, all is your wish." Vishnu said.

He seems to be looking younger as a 27-year old guy. He wear a black-sports shoe, have a thick moustache with an army-hair style. Rathnavel seems to be 65-year old man, with thick moustache.

"No Vishnu. He won't accept. Let's go through another way." Rathnavel said.

However, Vishnu convinces him and meets Gautham in B.P.Agraharam, where he currently resides. Still, Rathnavel is hopeless. But, Vishnu trusts and meets Gautham.

Gautham hears about their purpose of arrival to his house and goes furious. He refuses to accept their plight of request. The same day, he goes through the file of children's death and feels guilty and sad.

Being moved by the file, he agrees to investigate about this case. Gautham moves to the house of his close friend, Harsha Vardhan for this purpose.

Harshavardan and Gautham are close friends since the childhood days. Harsha and Gautham's parents were killed in the 2008 Bomb blasts, that happened near Chatrapathi International Airport of Mumbai.

Gautham is a heavy drunkard. His drinking habits have became a way of publicity. He is used as an advantage by the editors and media. Many of the other officers feared a lot due to his reckless character.

On the other hand, Harsha works as an NCC master in a private school near Thindal. He is known for his kind and meticulous character. Harsha is frequently followed by a girl called Swetha. She is working in a teacher in the school. However, he avoids her frequently.

One day, she comes and surprises Harsha during his birthday party where, Gautham is absent for investigation purpose. She wishes for his birthday. This impressed him and he eventually falls in love with her.

Later, Harsha and Gautham comes for doing exercise activities in their frequent ground near Thindal. While puncing in their hand combat, Harsha notices Gautham's tiredness.

"Policeman. Today you have been giving less punch. What happened da?"

"All because of that drug case da, Harsha."

"What happened? Did you get any clues about the case?"

"No da. No single clue was found. That's the main drawback."

Harsha consoles him and the next day, both goes for their respective works.

While going for his work, three teachers including Swetha comes to meet him.

"Harsha. I have a request to you?" One of the teachers asked him.

"Yes madam. Tell me." Harsha said.

"We wanted ACP Gautham sir to vacate your house." Swetha said.

"Why? What happened? Any problem with him?"

"Yes. He is drinking and smoking. That's really disturbing other people, nearby." Swetha said.

"He is a drunkard and bastard. Don't know how to be decent in an apartment." Among the teachers criticized Gautham, which angered Harsha a lot.

"Madam. Please mind your words. Don't even utter a single word wrong against Gautham." Harsha warned them, showing his fingers.

"Swetha. What do you know about Gautham? For how many years, you are here."

"For one year."

"That's why you don't know about him."

After a few minutes he comes back and tells, "I am sorry madam. He is my close friend, since childhood. You yourself know, he have studied here from childhood days. How can you talk about him so bad? You have to know more about him, at first."

BEFORE FEW DAYS AGO:

Gautham wished to join police force from childhood days. He never backed off from his ambition and stayed focused. Not all police officers have a successful life in their profession. They don't have life security. Among those case, Gautham is also one.

At that time, Drug Cartel Leader Raghavendra have been raising by selling drugs to the younger students and college people. He have been escaping the law through political influences. He have further planned to bring arms trafficking mafia and planned big to do terrorism and religious conflicts.

Gautham's police team under Rathnavel's insistence and guidance formed a special task force and they went to his basement on 25 July, 2018. On Gautham's side, there were four people, getting killed. On Raghavendra's side, fifteen people died, including his younger brother Krishnan.

When he was about to get encountered, it was unanonymously leaked by a Police officer and he was asked to get arrested. However, he soon came out through bail and killed Gautham's wife Roshini and younger daughter Adarshini. In retribution, Gautham killed him brutally to death.

PRESENT:

"Having lost his family, he is now losing himself madam. We both were brilliant in academics and sports. Only a few can be intelligent and smart, but. Police officer's life won't be peaceful at anytime. We can't know the importance of pain, until we go close and realize it's importance." Harshavardhan said.

While talking, one of the students of Harsha rushes to him and tells, "Sir. Yazhini is injecting a coacine in her hand. I tried to grab it from her. But, came to inform you."

Shocked Harsha, Swetha and the teachers go with their principal, class teacher and vice-principal. They grabs the drug from her, when she is about to infuse it.

"Teacher. Bring her parents immediately."

"Ok sir."

"Who gave you these drugs, girl? Tell me." Harsha asked her.

After a while of silence she replies: "Sir. They gave these drugs frequently in the Thindal Bus stop. I don't know from where and how they produce and sell these drugs. It just costed 100 Rs. That's why I got it."

"Sir. Let's give her parents a warning. Let she continue her studies." Harsha said, pleading with the principal by holding his hands. He agrees after talking with the correspondent.

After everyone have gone from the place, Harsha calls Gautham.

"Tell me, Harsha." Gautham said.

"Gautham. Where are you now?"

"I am in the Commissioner office of Erode da."

"Ok. I know you are with JCP Rathnavel IPS. Put the phone in loudspeaker."

"Why da?"

"Do what I say!" Harsha said in a commanding tone of voice. Hearing this, Swetha(who have been having 2 period gaps) rushes and comes to know what happened.

"Sir. We have got an important clues about this drug case. In Bhavani, those five children's death have been caused by the drugs, that carried virus. But, the same event happened in my school also."

"What happened Harsha?"

"Sir. This drugs were sold for Rs.100 in Erode. They are targetting schools and colleges. But, if they have to target these, first they should be selling it for free and then, get more money like lakhs and crores. However, they are selling it for Rs.100 means, something is very frishy in this."

"What's your next plan, Harsha?"

"Sir. That's very simple. As per my guess, this girl could have seen the drug seller face to face. If we catch that seller with this girl's help, we could be able to know the conspiracy behind these events sir. The case is henceforth, solved."

"Ok Harsha. Hope you would crack the case. All the best." Rathnavel said. He hangs his phone call.

"Operation Gold Fish's ultimate target is to catch the drug cartel, who is trying to spoil our country. Where are you da?" Harsha thinked in his mind.

While turning back to go for his work, he is shocked to find out Swetha behind him.

"Swetha. What are you doing here? When did you come, this way?"

"From day 1, I suspected some of your activities. Mainly, when you did shooting practice, boxing with your friend, etc. I initially thought you are an undercover cop. The doubt got confirmed now."

"You are telling something irrelevant Swetha. Kindly go away from this place now."

"Indeed, I am speaking relevant. Teachers were keen to suspend the girl. But you at first, asked her who sold the drugs. I confirmed that you are a cop."

"I think you have read some Sherlock Holmes book and crime novels. That's why you are speaking like this." Harsha said and laughed.

She then shows a video, which she recorded now and shows it to him. In that video, the information that he told to Rathnavel and Gautham were recorded.

Left with no way, Harshavardan agrees to tell her the truth about himself in evening. After all the classes, he takes Swetha along with him to the house, where Gautham also have been staying.

"Did you see these? It's the honorary gold medal, that I and Gautham got as a special prize during the IPS training in Chennai and Hyderabad respectively."

"This is a special Dragunov gun prize by the Home Minister in the training's end. I was been honored this for my contributions."

Gautham then asked Harsha, "Hey Harsha. Why are you telling all these to her?"

"I will tell later on. Now, be quiet." He said to him. He turns to Swetha

"I and Gautham were 2012 IPS batch. He was posted in Erode as ASP. While, I got posted as ASP of Vijayawada. For three years, I was working there and eliminated four rapists, who assaulted and killed a women. Due to this, I got transferred to Bangalore in 2017. Within one year, I got transferred to Erode under Rathnavel's insistence. He mentored and guided with of us from childhood."

"Why didn't he posted you officially like Gautham?"

"Rathnavel wanted me to go for undercover and investigate about this drug mafia. Because, he suspected some political influences and big conspiracy. As I am straight forward and fast, there might be problems. That's why I am sent undercover. Please don't tell this to anyone."

Harsha begged her. She agrees and tells him that, "He is doing all for good. Henceforth, he doesn't need to worry."

Later, Harsha meets the girl and guides her to meet the drug cartel leader in the bus stop. With the support of Gautham and his team, they nabs the henchman. The girl is also successfully rescued by Swetha.

The henchman is caught by Gautham in the end. Harsha gives him brutal tortures telling, "Tell us da. Who is behind these drug production?"

"I won't tell, even if I die!" said the henchman.

Harsha angrily proceeds to beat him up.

"Harsha. Don't be doing things out of mind. He won't tell anything, if we ask like this. If we give another torture he would tell us the truth."

Gautham inserts a pipe infront of the henchman and opens it. The water drops fall slowly in the henchman. It starts to make him feared.

"I will tell the truth. Please don't do anything." The henchman said.

"Good." Harsha said.

"Maaran. Vetrimaaran..." said the henchman.

"Why are you saying it like Mersal Vijay, you idiot? Tell us clearly about him da!"

"He wanted to become a big scientist with his talents. Vetrimaaran was a graduate in Nuclear Physics. But, he was rejected all over. They never helped him. Using his situation, a few Pakistan and Chinese terrorists brainwashed him against India and bribed him with crores of rupees to create a problem through drugs, that carried dangerous virus. Since, China wanted to do profits with the drugs. He agreed and that's why we are doing these things."

The henchman revealed his location near to Lakshadweep Islands of Kerala. He is killed instantly by Gautham. Rathnavel is elated to know about the identity of drug mafia. He praised Harsha and Gautham for that.

After 12 days of traveling in the ship, they reaches Lakshadweep finally. They successfully reaches the house of Vetri. But before they could reach the place, Vetri (in black suits and white-looking face with villainy eyes) learns about this and escapes from the place with the help of his ship.

Harsha and Gautham however, destroys the island with C4 bombs and retieves the formula for drug and successfully, manages to seize the drugs. Angered that, the police team and Goverment have nabbed his plans of destroying India, Vetri lands in Erode, by wearing a face mask, to defend himself.

Vetrimaaran hides in Anthiyur Reserved forest areas and seeks out a plan to take revenge against Harshavardan.

Harsha is unanonymously praised by the public, media and police department of various states for his tireless hardwork in investigating this crucial case. He officially takes charge as the ASP of Erode as Gautham's teammate for the first time in IPS.

The media now asked him: "Sir. Why did you go undercover for these many days for first time in your life?"

"I wanted to do this undercover rather than to do it officially. To crack this case, I have gone through so many challenges." Harsha said.

He then leaves the place and apologizes to his school teachers, students and friends. They forgive him. Since his act is good and does favour to the public. Meanwhile, Vetri follows Swetha-Harsha and silently watches their routine activities.

He realizes that, Harsha spends qualitative time with Gautham and Swetha respectively. To avenge the loss of his evil plans, Swetha gets kidnapped by him.

Harsha and Gautham gets threatened by Vetri to come alone without their police force and team, if they want Swetha alive. They agree and goes to meet Maaran in the reserved forest areas.

Seeing Harsha, Maaran shoots Swetha in order to divert him and escape from the place. While Gowtham chases him.

"Swetha. Swetha." Harsha cried aloud.

"Oh!!!" Harsha cried, after seeing the blood. He takes her from the reserved forests. However, Swetha dies in his arms.

"Brother. I think there would be a delay in our escape to China. Car hasn't come yet." Vetri's henchman said to him.

"Let's wait for half-an-hour" said Vetrimaaran, to his group of henchmen. They are now in the banks of Bhavani River near Anthiyur.

"Hey.." Gautham and Harsha came angrily towards the henchman.

"Guys. Kill the duo brutally."

Harsha and Gautham brutally finish off the henchman of Vetrimaaran.

Vetri now tells him, "If you retrieve the drugs and destroy the formula, did you think I can stop this and stop my mind of destroying this nation? I have formula inside my mind. I will destroy da. Harshavardan. Now you feel painful...haa haa haa...you and Gautham are now alone...Come on..."

Harsha overpowers him, using his Adimurai skills. Gautham stands besides him and watches silently. Now, Harsha tells: "You told that, you would destroy the country. Destroy da. You wanted to talk with me right? Talk da." He gives him a punch.

"How many of you guys da? All for the sake of money...Chi! Aren't you all ashamed? If you are to destroy our country, I will kill you...if anyone comes like you, I will kill him also da." Harsha said and he brutally stabs Vetri multiple times after recalling about the deaths of the school children and Swetha.

In his dying moments, Vetri tells them: "Don't be too glad that you have killed me. There are thousands to destroy this nation."

"If you are thousands, we are crores da. You too was once like that only. But, as you was not helped and chased out by everyone, you chose wrong path and joined with the people, whom you should never join with and betrayed our country in the name of revenge. If A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, C.V.Raman and Srinivasa Ramanujam have thought like you, then they won't be read by us in books. Mistake is with you. Not with our country." Gautham said.

"A man is made by his belief. As he believes so he is. If you believe that you can win, then you have already won the most part of it. Believe that you can be happy, you too can be successful and you can. This had been said in Bhagavad Gita." Harsha said.

Vetrimaaran dies after realizing his mistakes. Harsha and Gautham leave back from the place, wearing their respective cooling glasses. While going, they hold their hand each other. Because he too is going to lead a lonely life like Gautham, having came to the police job.

FEW DAYS LATER:

A few days later, they are transferred to Bangalore for another case by Rathnavel. But, this time it is official for Harsha. While going, Harsha notices a reflection of Swetha smiling at him.

EPILOGUE:

"Police life is also like a war. But, it's very different. There, the first main target is not the soul. Honesty, sincerity, valour and the beloved ones. Police dress has stains. The reason: It's been worn by human beings. We, the public is peaceful and happy. For that the main reason is the police officers, who pay for their duty and sincerity in their everyday life."
