This morning, Kiara woke up, brushed, took a bath and left for her office. She had some important work. Kiara, being the owner of a large and well-known company, always had a ton of work to do. She barely had any free time. After half hour had passed, she had finally reached her office. With a lot of confidence, she walked towards the front door. All her employees greeted her with a lot of respect, and love, because, Kiara was an exceptional and amazing boss. She understood the feelings of other employees and everything else as well.

The young woman had also won many awards for her exceptional and miraculous work. She was the owner and founder of an app development company. She sat down on her chair. Then, she worked on the laptop, signed some documents, received and answered some emails, and in a nutshell, finished up a ton of work!

It was nearly time to go home, but one of her trusted employees, Maya, came in. "Hello, ma'am. Greetings. I need to give you my resignation application." Maya told, sadly. "Resignation? But why?! Aren't you happy in doing work here, at this company, Maya?" Kiara asked, shocked. "Uh, ma'am," Maya stammered. Then she began to run, but her boss stopped her. "Please wait! Tell me the issue!" Kiara demanded. "Ma'am, I was abused by some of the employees. And, I obviously couldn't tolerate it. So......." Maya began. Kiara told, "Oh, alright. I have to go now. I'll definitely sign your letter tomorrow."

But, she had something else in mind.

She went home and made dinner for herself. While having some rice and lentils, she thought about what Maya had said. To be honest, Maya's problem wasn't just a normal and small issue. Yes, it wasn't. Next, she watched the television for some time and slept off.

The next morning, Kiara again went to her office. But, she wasn't going to sign Maya's resignation letter. Instead, she had a plan. She went towards the employees' cabin, where they were working nicely. She announced, "Hello, staff. So, please stop working for a minute!" The others obeyed.

"I need to ask something," Kiara informed them a bit seriously. "Imagine if someone abuses you. How will you feel?" "Ma'am, I would feel bad, like everyone does always," One of the employees said. "Hmm. What do the others need to say in this matter?" Kiara asked.

"I would do the same! I wouldn't tolerate it!!" The other said, fuming. "Now, if your relatives face any kind of abuse, then, what would you do?" Kiara asked the next question. The others told, "We wouldn't tolerate that, too! It's not fair!!"

"Then why was Maya abused? Just because she doesn't have a fair complexion?" Came the next question. Everyone was silent. Even Maya.

Someone said, "Everyone loves a fair complexion!" "Wait. I think I understood what Kiara ma'am wants us to understand. As per the Constitution, no person can be discriminated against or judged on the basis of his/her colour, caste, religious background and anything else, for that matter. Everyone is equal!" One of the employees, Ramesh finally said, after understanding Kiara's question. "Yes! That's what I wanted to hear!" Kiara told.

"Whenever we see someone who is not normal like us, or has a dark complexion, we judge and discriminate them. Which is wrong! Absolutely wrong! This happens with many people. Boys, or girls!" Kiara explained.

"Yes, ma'am. We're sorry. We may be modern by our clothing style or practices, but we are not modern and good enough by our thoughts!" Someone said.

Maya smiled and thanked her boss. "Thank you so much! You're the best! Because of my dark complexion, I've been kicked out of many offices."

Kiara smiled, and she appreciated her employees as well, who had finally understood the concept of not judging somebody. "Whenever we see someone, who's being judged, abused or discriminated, we should take a step!" Kiara told. Then, one of the workers said, "Never judge someone by their dark complexion because dairy milk is more famous than milky bar!!" "Hahaa! What a silly little joke!" Kiara told, giggling. All the employees apologised to Maya, who happily accepted the apology.

It was a happy ending! Maya's was happy, and so were the others!
