"Hi", If you think that the only way a phone can bother you is with spam calls, low battery, irritating ring tones, no internet, or lost network. "Sorry, you are wrong". Welcome to my crazy life.

"Me", a smart phone.

It was the time of the pandemic the world was locked down and I had become the most important asset in the world, a necessity for Single Sign-On, Authentication Code, Online orders.

" Wait", your survival depended on me. So the mother of the house was watching some videos using me lying on her bed near a window. Suddenly her 5-year-old came and tried to snatch me to watch cartoons.

And I flew straight from their hands through the 8th-floor window and fell on the 7th-floor balcony.

They peered at me from above in great fear I was still playing the video lying there alone on the cold balcony floor below. But the twist came when they realized that the bachelors who lived in that 7th-floor apartment had left long back and now the flat was locked. There were discussions about whether to call the fire engine or not and they were anxious that those men might not agree to do this dirty job of fetching me for them.

The brave father was running here and there arranging for a ladder and his stupid plan was to climb the 7th-floor balcony from another adjacent balcony and show his gymnastic skills. If he slipped, then he might land up in the same situation as me. But thankfully those ideas were not executed.

The geeky neighbour racked his brain and made a tool by attaching a triangular plastic dustpan at the end of a long broom and rescued me from the adjacent balcony.

"No, no, no ", It's not the end. I survived with a few scratches on my front cover. But a few months later their Granny came and stayed in their home for a few weeks. And it was time for her to leave. Everyone went to the station to put her safely on the train. In the midst of their hugs and goodbyes, no one remembered me. They came home and searched where I was. May be again lost deep inside the sofa or forgotten on the top of the refrigerator. To their horror, they realized I was ringing inside granny's bag. Someone they don't know who, maybe the child, maybe someone adult unmindfully had put me inside Granny's purse and now I am traveling in a train to another state. I know who had put me but I won't tell you. Let those fools figure it out.

"Oh I gave those buddies a hard time, I mean it I took my revenge". Few of the most important project calls, job offers, and critical calls came during the next two days when I was lying discharged in granny's bag.

They went to buy a new sim, transfer the same number and put it in an old phone. But destiny helped me when they opened the cover to take out the tiny little new sim. That sim fell in the space between the gearbox and seat of their car.

They had to skip their lunch take their car to the showroom, hire a mechanic, open the car's gearbox to retrieve the sim." How I loved to harass them". Then I was packed and couriered back to them from Granny's house.

It was a long nice journey. And I was welcomed back with a wipe of sanitizer. That day they realized my value. But alas the love was short-lasting, still, I am overused, dropped from bed, added many more cracks to my front shield. But I do run. They put me on charge and forget me  the whole night and I plan my games to make their life miserable. While they wait to buy a new phone from the next big sale.
