The Odd Cafe
The Odd Cafe
Under the yellow string lights, on the yellow table of 'The Odd Cafe,' we were served sandwiches and coffee. Dipping it into the mayonnaise she took a bite of the cheese sandwich and I could see the mayonnaise lurking out from the sides of her lips. With a tissue, I tried to wipe it but she insisted that I don't use a tissue, not my hand either.
"Ohh...I know what you want me to do, I know that very well" I grinned.
She winked at me.
"Close your eyes then," I said.
She closed her eyes. Making a pout, she bent a little towards me.
I tore a piece of bread from the sandwich and wiped the mayonnaise.
She opened her eyes and stared at me with disappointment.
"Got you," I said, laughing.
"That's not fair," she said.
"How? I didn't use any tissue right?"
"But you used your hand"
"No, I used my fingers only" I laughed hard.
"Arghhh...."
"You think we're in America or something? We're in Sambalpur babe, you expect me to kiss you in a public place like this?" I said, smiling.
"But we kissed in the boating park, didn't we? Isn't that a public place too?" she questioned.
"But that place was different, there were couples everywhere, and they were not only kissing but....and we kissed under that Banyan tree, nobody saw us kissing remember?" I argued.
"Blah blah blah..you argue a lot..huh," she said with disgust.
"Stop watching those English TV shows, you're getting bolder day by day" I teased her.
"No, I won't stop and tonight we'll see the season 5 of The Vampire Diaries" she giggled.
"No..tonight there's a match between CSK and MI," I said.
"Kya tum mere liye itna bhi nahin kar sakte?" She looked at me with puppy eyes.
And I was like.."Waise toh mein bada sakht launda hoon, par yahan mein pighal gaya"
