The Late Night Pizza Delivery.

Hello mate ! I hope you are doing fine. Alright, I admit it’s been off for donkeys since my last story “The Shadow”. But don’t you worry because I AM BACK WITH A NEW ONE !!!! Uh okay that was not necessary. I beg your pardon but I couldn’t help it.

So the story goes like this :

Swetabh was out doing a delivery one late night. It was probably the longest drive he had ever taken for a pizza delivery. From the pizza place he worked at it was a 20-minute drive, which wasn’t too crazy out where he used to live. Plus the customer ordered four large pizzas, so he figured it was a party and he would get a much bigger tip.

Navigating the dirt roads at night was always annoying though for him. He pulled up to the given address. It was some old sketchy looking building literally in the middle of a forest clearing. There were no cars parked anywhere or any lights on. Swetabh put his car in park and called his boss. He asked him to reread the address at least three times to make sure he typed in right, but that checked out. The boss was in a bitchy mood, so he told “ At least knock on the door and check it out, don’t annoy me.”

Then swetabh thought ‘ He would normally get mad if i took back one pizza’. He was afraid of what would he do if he brought back four of them too.

He was insanely unnerved but got out anyway and forced himself to the front door of the building. There was no doorbell, so he just knocked really hard. He heard nothing and didn’t really expect to hear anything. He was extremely disappointed not because nobody answered the door, but because he was realizing that it was all a waste of time and fuel.

He knocked one more time out of desperation and then began to hear some kind of rustling noises from inside of the building. He knocked again and yelled that he was the pizza guy. There was silence now and he felt a bit more uncomfortable now than before, but before he could turn around, he noticed something at the window. There was someone looking through the window. He couldn’t tell if it was a man or a woman, all he noticed were their eyes. Their eyes were opened wider than I knew possible. Staring intently at him.

He was disturbed enough by this and dropped the pizzas and ran back to his car. But it wouldn’t start until turning the key for the third time. He drove off the grass and back onto the dirt road, but he felt the car rocking about shaking and bumping. Something wasn’t right. He didn’t make it far from the building before he started hearing a sharp scraping sound coming from outside. There was so much resistance that he couldn’t even drive. The car came to a stop.

He got out of the car to check what was wrong with it. A chill ran up to his spine as he began to feel like his heart was constantly skipping beats. The tires had been slashed and had completely fallen off the rim. Not just the front though……………. all four tires were slashed. He realized that somebody did this when he was knocking on the door to that building. Instead of running, Swetabh got back in the car and locked the door. He was so close to the building that he could practically see it from where I was if it weren’t for the trees blocking the view. He dialed 100 and explained everything to the operator. The operator told that the cops would be over as soon as possible and that he needed to be stay hidden. He asked the operator if it was advisable to stay in the car or run and they told it would be best to stay in the car with the door locked. They asked him to stay on line with her until the cops arrived.

His whole body was shaking. In all directions there was nothing but dark seemingly endless forest. He knew it would take forever for the cops to get there. He was not comfortable with sitting in that car so close to whoever did this. The next part though is what utterly destroyed him. It still shakes him to this day, and he hope nobody ever has to experience this kind of fear. As he was scanning all the windows making sure nobody was outside he looked in the rearview mirror and there was the same person he saw at that window. Eyes open wider than ever. He could see that it was a woman and he could also see a slight smile began to spread across her face. He opened the door and full on sprinted into the woods not caring how much noise he made. He ran until he was out of breath which didn’t take long and he hid behind a giant log on the ground. He tried to cover his loud breathing with my hands as he waited and waited for what felt like hours until he finally heard sirens in the distance. He gathered up all the stamina. He had to run all the way back in the direction of the dirt road. Eventually the glowing lights came into view. And he had never felt better in my life.

They were parked in front Swetabh’s car investigating with flashlights. He came out yelling at them like a lunatic to help him and fell to the floor and started to gag, almost throwing up from running so much. The cops picked him up and began to question him, to which he explained everything to the best of his ability. One of the two cars drove over to the building and two officers began to search the building. They came back with nothing expect for a couple of spiky objects. These objects were exactly the same as the ones used to slash his tires. The cops guessed that it was some kind of sick demented couple, being that Swetabh seeing that woman. But unfortunately they were never found and that still kills him to this day.

He obviously quit his job right after that and started working at a local grocery store. He knew that he’ll never forget seeing that woman at the back of his car.

Well, that's it for now. I hope to see you soon again with a new story. Until then   take care.
