I was working as Assistant Professor in a reputed engineering college of Himachal Pradesh. Life was going well. My college was situated in green surroundings. As you enter the college gate, it was like a beautiful forest, the teachers hostel looked like a beautiful sweet house in the shrub thes, the canteen was surrounded by tall trees as if it was a national park giving best quality food to the tourist. Inside the college campus, it felt so beautiful that after duty off, nobody was willing to leave that place and everybody used to move towards their houses after having a chat with each other on tea in the beautiful canteen. Very soon I got a better job opportunity in Delhi and shifted over there, unaware of the change that I am going to experience in my life.

After reaching Delhi, I took a room on rent in a colony which was very near to my office. It was a very poluted and conjusted colony. We used to suffocate over there. Every day there used to come a truck that used to spread some chemical in that entire colony to make it pollution free. But being a conjusted colony, that colony used to get full of smoke for 3 to 4 hours creating a suffocating atmosphere, unable to breathe. It was a nightmare. We were stuck in that colony as it was very near to my office & I did not want to leave it. Gradually because of polluted atmosphere, dark circles started appearing all over my body. I started feeling week from inside which started affecting my performance in my office also. Gradually I became a highly depressed person who always used to fight with his wife without any reason. Me and my wife used to fight on useless issues almost every day and our frustration level was high. It felt like our relationship has broken forever and there are no chances of it recovering again. The beautiful journey of husband and wife that started with blessings of our parents and elders was gradually decaying and dumping into a a black hole never to return again. Inside my heart I desperately desired to leave that place but I was unable to do so because of my official responsibilities.

One day I read a news in the newspaper that some organisation in Dehradun is hiring on a higher salary for Haridwar location. I immediately took holiday of few days from my office and rushed towards Dehradun to appear for the interview over there. I prepared for that interview so well that I was determine that I will beat the interview and leave that polluted place forever. My dreams turned into reality. I qualified the interview and me and my wife moved to a beautiful location Haridwar.

That atmosphere was so beautiful in serene, that we felt very relaxed mentally. Everyday after returning back to home from office we used to take evening walk behind the bank of beautiful river Ganga, watching beautiful mountains and flowers nearby and enjoying the beauty of nature. This thing brought me more closer to my wife and our relationship became the most beautiful one. We started caring for each other, we started loving each other more and more and never for a single second we ever raised our voices on each other. My life has completely transformed.

Since childhood we have heard many times from many people and even from books that pollution spoils our health, pollution spoils trees and water resources but pollution is such a dangerous thing that it can deform a beautiful relationship forever, this was the most unexpected experiences of my life.
