Me and my wife were living in Delhi for 4 years. Suddenly I got a good news that I was selected in a reputed organization on a higher position and a huge salary package and my job location will be Haridwar. Living in Delhi for 4 years and then suddenly changing the location, that also a hill state, absolutely different from the locality and atmosphere of Delhi, was a tough decision. But we were happy that we are moving to a beautiful state Utarakhand and a beautiful place Haridwar, where we will take holy bath daily in Ganga River. My wife was very excited to go to Haridwar. She started making plans about what beautiful places we will visit in Haridwar. Starting from Ganga Aarti to Har ki Pauri, from river rafting in Rishikesh to the Natural Fauna in Jim Corbett, she made a list of all those places where she wished to travel. I could see the expression of excitement on her place.

Delhi is, no doubt, a great place to live, full of opportunity and growth, but my wife never liked the overcrowded and polluted atmosphere of Delhi. Although we used to enjoy at hotels, movies, parks & gardens during initial days of our marriage but still there was something missing in her life. Except occasional movies, whenever I told my wife to go and enjoy outside, she always refused. Gradually I stopped asking her because I knew the reason. We followed a very bored routine, going to office, returning back to home in night, purchasing household goods of Sunday and that's all.

But on the day when we had to leave for Haridwar, her excitement level was at its peak. With a beautiful smile on her face, she was packing our luggage. From finally cleaning the house to wrapping up everything, within one hour she finished everything. I was shocked to see how fast she did all the things. I was just observing her excitement. Finally we took our car and moved towards Haridwar. On the way she was only discussing what we will be doing after reaching Haridwar and nothing else. I was surprised to see that she was talking too much that day. After a long journey as we reached Haridwar, it was raining. Both of us were feeling the beauty of mountains and the sweet smell of wet sand after rainfall. Everything looked beautiful. Monsoon is truly a season of joy and happiness. I said to my wife, "See dear, I had already booked the house where we will be living on rent. Let us go over there and one more surprise awaits you." Very happily me and my wife reached our 3-bedroom flat. It was very beautiful. My wife was very happy to see it. I said to her, "There is one more surprise for you." She said, "Oh dear, you are so sweet. It feels today you are in mood to fulfill all my wishes. Tell me fast what the surprise is." My house was on the first floor in that multistory apartment. I took her near the window and pointing my finger downwards i said, "Do you see that beautiful small building." She said, "Yes, that one, pained in yellow, looks so beautiful. That is at a walking distance from here. Is it some important building, that you are telling me about?" I looked at her and gave her a cunning smile. She asked,"What? Why are you smiling like that?" I said, "That's my new office."

Listening to my words my wife shouted in excitement, "Oh Dear, you are so sweet, I love you so much." Saying these words, she hugged me tight. She was so happy to see that my office was at a walking distance from my new house.

In the evening we went for a walk in the nearby market. We decided to just explore the new place and we will not purchase anything. Walking in the market of a hill town is actually a treat. My wife was silently observing the beautiful shops with a sweet smile. My heart was relaxed that I finally brought my wife to the place where she always wanted to be.

In the evening the weather was even more beautiful. After rainfall the evening sun was looking like a red diamond ring, hiding behind the beautiful green mountains. Sipping her cup of tea, my said, "I love you." I looked at her I said, "How can a wife say these words to her husband even after 10 years of marriage?" She looked at me & started laughing loudly. She was laughing so loud, it felt like she will never stop. I was just looking at her. Where was that smile gone since last 7 years? I was craving to see that smile on her face. My eyes filled with tears, but my heart was happy. That moment, once again I fell in love with my beautiful wife.
