The 87th Passenger - Part 1

“Everything ready?” Said Luna as they entered the aero plane. The flight was empty. It had crash-landed an hour ago. The crew then compared the number of passengers before the plane took off and then after it landed. There was an extra passenger who was the last passenger to get out of the plane. He was the 87th passenger. He wore a pale, brown coat and dark sunglasses, he looked like of around 45-50 years old. After he got out of the plane, he disappeared, nowhere to be seen, just as if he vanished into thin air. “Umm... what was the passenger’s name...” Nancy said as she took a small diary from her pocket. “It says, ‘Dan. V. Cooper’.”

Luna raised an eyebrow. "I think I have heard it somewhere.... let me think....” Luna said. But Nancy interrupted her thoughts. “Hey, LOOK!” she said pointing towards seat no. 18 in the third row. There was a note. Luna picked it up. Suddenly, the lights in the airplane went off. “W...... what is happening?!!!” Nancy screamed. Luna almost jumped. “You scared me! Don’t worry, it’s just a power cut.” Luna slowly walked towards a small lever and pulled it. It beeped and the lights switched on again. “See?” Luna said “Don’t just panic like that.” Nancy shrugged and picked up the note.
