Sugarcane

In between the countries of Hirdiana and Malvia, there is a Mountain called Meetu. In the mountains of Meetu, there is a small village called Dulcis. Dulcis is famous for sweets.

Yet, long long ago Dulcis was an unknown place till they had The Queen of Sweet, Ahilyo. 

Back in the years, queen Ahilyo once visited Dulcis, which was a grey village of her kingdom. She noticed that the subjects of her kingdom are lazy and what to earn more and more in easier ways. 

She observed most of her subjects have seen a loss in their business. In order to make her people realize their mistakes of loss. The queen decided to get in the village as a normal one and make them understand the fruits of hard work.

The queen has entered the village with a new name ‘Aiyana’ and she bought a small land from one of the villagers for her business. Everyone celebrated for the new member in their village. 

Aiyana was happy with the people. One day she was sowing the sugarcane… the villagers never knew about the sugarcane, they were excited to see it. After one year everyone was ready to fertilize the crop...but it was seen that few villagers' crops didn’t yield up and few of them were damaged due to crows and animals. But when all the farmers went to see Aiyana’s field they saw nothing. They gave sympathy to her and went away. Next year everyone was excited to see what Aiyana has cultivated, but this time to there was no growth in her land. Villagers advised her to grow something else that is easy to grow. Yet Aiyana didn’t listen to any and waited for more years. Till the fifth year, everyone used to laugh at her because of her foolishness although none of the villagers were earning profit by their harvest. 

Aiyana was quiet because she knows what she is going to earn. In the sixth year, the sugarcane grew still 5 feet and in the next five to six months it grew to 100 feet. All the villagers were shocked and were sorry for their behavior. With this Aiyana earns lots of money which can easily survive her for the next 5 years. Aiyana became the richest person in the village. Everyone understood their mistake and was sorry. Aiyana couldn’t stop herself and disclosed her identity of being the queen. All the villages bow the head towards the queen. Ahilyo gathered all the people and said “Make your roots stronger in the soil so that no one can throw you out and then wait and keep watering your roots. With this one day, you will shine high in the sky and everyone will look up to you as their shining star in the black sky.”

With this, all the villagers decided and named the Ahilyo as ‘The queen of Sweet, Ahilyo’. Then thereafter the villagers never went for an easier way and started growing sugarcane. Immediately after years Dulcis became famous in the whole kingdom and was never ever called a grey village.
