SORRY
SORRY
There lived a lovely couple right next door of my house. Their love for each other grew day by day. I had known them for past 9 years. They had been a strength to each other all the time. May it be the happiest of the celebration or the saddest of the situation. Their relation had trust and support.
The wife was beautiful at heart so was the husband brave. It was a perfect combination. They were a perfect example of the love that I could see in movies, the only part missing would be songs in the background.
With the happiness in their relationship, there was another sad part in their life. They longed for a child. They were dying to become parents. They did prayers, they went to the best hospitals they could. But, it was not possible for them to have kids. They decided to adopt a child. They went to orphanage one day. They saw a small cute girl in a white frock wearing a beautiful smile like an angel. They decided to adopt her. The day they came to take her home after the formalities, she vomited and she was rushed to a hospital where they heard the happiest of the news - that they could become parents. They now decided not to adopt the girl as they wouldn't be able to manage her and they didn't want to spoil her life. But somewhere in their heart, she had made her residence. They couldn't forget her face for days.
8 months of time spent making dreams of what it would be when the child was born. Decorating the house, buying clothes, toys and whatnot. Each day they kept taking photographs and making cards for their baby. They couldn't wait for long to see the baby.
Finally, it was time the baby was born. They both cried happy tears. They baby doll was blessed to them. The doctor took the child to clean her and got her back after 20 minutes. They carried the child in their hands, they kissed her, they hugged her. The baby was very beautiful and she kept looking here and there with her tiny eyes.
She smiled at them when they called her Fairy. The baby was sleepy, so she fed her and the baby slept.
The baby was completely covered in a small nylon blanket. Only her smiling face was visible. After about 4 hours of baby sleeping, they thought to wake her up. When they looked at her she still had a smiling face. They tried removing the blanket, the baby was not moving at all. They tried calling Fairy, Fairy,. No response. They found that the baby was not breathing, she was still. They called Doctor, he checked her pulse and said the one word that crashed their life, their dreams; it broke their heart and crashed their souls. The doctor said - SORRY.
