She Matters Because

Long long ago there was a girl named Asha; she lived with her mother in a cottage. Her father was king of kindness. Asha was inspired by her father and wanted to be queen of kindness.

But all her friends used to mock her telling that she could never be queen of kindness. But this did not stop Asha from trying. Her mother helped her a lot and told her to try hard every day to help someone. So one day she was walking in the park when she saw a girl being called names by a bunch of eighth years. Asha confronted the eighth graders and told them to stop bullying the girl.

She strongly told them that everyone matters, and can not be made fun of.

The girl is unique in her own way, and matters, if not to them but herself

It doesn’t matter what other people think about you, it's about what you think about yourself.

Hearing this the girl was really happy and the eighth graders ran away as they were terrified by what Asha had said.

The next day the girl told her parents about Asha and her parents awarded Asha a queen of kindness award and Asha was very happy and had a grand feast. 

After a few hours she got a call from her school secretary that she was invited to talk about why she matters.

The girl was on cloud nine and could not believe her ears, she quickly got ready and set off to school.

As soon as she reached the auditorium she was smiling, as she thought about Asha, and how she had stood up for her.

Soon the girl started her speech, it sounded like this :

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am Scarlet, and I am from 7th grade

Today I am going to talk about how I matter.

I matter because I am unique.

I matter because I have faith in myself

I matter because I am human

I matter because I am brave

I matter because I am me

And I matter because I am alive

After Scarlet’s speech was over the whole school gave a round of applause to her and blew whistles, as they loved her speech, in fact the whole school stood up from the chairs and gave her a standing ovation, which made Scarlet have joyful tears in her eyes.
