In a world of humans who does ordinary things, I was the odd one out and certainly the one who grabbed the spotlight at a very young age. It's been almost two years since I have seen sunlight and felt that fresh air under my nose. Under these heavily enforced metal doors, I became the sacrificial goat for research purposes. My name is Ryder and I am what humans call ‘mutant’. In a world where humans wear the mask of murderers, rapists, terrorists, I am judged to be the danger. I am not fond of particularly anyone in the world except for my sweet twin sister who was diagnosed with cancer. My parents are what I deem to be incapable caretakers. They should not have got married. They always fought with each other and never cared about me or my dying sister. It was as if our birth burdened them and we were the reason they started to fight.

Despite the setbacks, I personally was always a happy-go-lucky child who wants peace and fun. One fateful day the world along with me witnessed my undiscovered power. I was at my school and I accidentally lifted a kid in the air without touching him and dropped him in a nearby well when he tried to bully someone in school. The humans described my power as telekinesis which means I can interact with physical objects without touching them. The bully drowned in the well and died. By the time the clock struck midnight I was charged for murder, sentenced to jail and ended up at a high-security prison. I was not sure whether my incapable parents tried to get me out of the prison. I only heard stories about them later on. They were not allowed to see me and my parents soon filed a case against the prison after which I was transferred to a secret government facility while they cooked a story about my death. A dummy dead body was sent to my house. The murder of a child was enough to mark me dangerous and thus from an early age my body and my powers were experimented on for different research purposes.

Since I did not know how to control my telekinesis I could not defend against these people. I turned 15 today which surprisingly changed everything. Somehow my mind was more relaxed and I was able to control my telekinesis. However, in front of the researchers, I acted to have no control to keep them under low alert. It would be a cakewalk for me to break out of the prison with my newly controlled powers but I have postponed my plans. I overheard one of the researchers and came to know that my blood cells contained a special component which has the potential to heal deadly diseases such as cancer. I knew that my twin sister would have bid the world farewell by then. However, I wanted to do it for other brothers in the world who could have a chance to save their sisters. I decided to stay until the research is complete.

People say I am a dangerous mutant and I should be executed but they often forget that I share my DNA with them and anything dangerous arising out of me is because of the human nature in me and not because of the mutant powers. It’s been five years since the prison break and the world is on high alert to catch me. Where do I go from here is still unclear for me but one thing I am certain of is that I am still the happy-go-lucky child who wants nothing but peace and fun.
