Secret Santa

It was a silent night. Christmas was two days ahead. I put on my pajamas turned off the lights. When I heard a knock on the door. I was alone in the house and my parents were out. Suddenly, the knocks got louder. My heart started racing, as I approached the door. “Who’s there?” I asked. There was no answer, but someone continued to knock on the door. My tummy flipped as I turned the knob as the door creaked open. Suddenly, the knocks stopped. I looked all around the house, but I didn’t see anyone. Suddenly, my eyes fell on a small package kept on the floor at the door. I took the package inside, and I opened the package. The package had some money in it. Also, it had a note which read: 

                       

 Dear Emily,     

This is a small gift from me. I hope you will like it. Keep some to yourself, and I will pick up the rest in 10 hours.

I was so terrified, that I almost fainted. First of all, I wondered how the person knew my name. When I suddenly noticed someone’s number written on the back side of the letter. It said: “Call Me.” I still don’t know why, but I decided to call the number. I slowly dialed the number. I suddenly heard the sound of a faint ring of a call outside the door. Shivers ran through my body. Now I was sure that my secret Santa was definitely outside my door. I boldly approached the door and shouted- “WHO IS THERE?” When suddenly, I heard someone whisper in my ear, “I am your secret Santa....” My heart stopped for a moment, and as I turned back..................
